Concrete Countertops are a new service offered by K & K Construction. They give the owner another option when choosing surfaces for their kitchen, bathroom, or other living areas. They can be tailored to many different sizes and thicknesses, depending on the needs of the client.
The countertops are constructed at the company facility. There, they are formed, poured, and polished. After the polishing process is complete, they are sealed with an acrylic sealer. The countertop is then transported to the job and the pieces are assembled. After the job is complete, a wax is applied to the countertops to give it a soft luster.
To the right, you can see the countertop after it has been polished. Polishing the surface removes the top layer of cement, and allows for the aggregate to be revealed. Here, pea gravel was used as the aggregate to give the countertop a more natural look and feel.
